The SAT essay is more about you demonstrating your ability to analyze the persuasive elements and rhetorical devices of a speech or essay. This is great preparation for the SAT essay as it is more your analysis of a persuasive speech/argument rather than you crafting an agree/disagree essay. If you are taking (or have taken) AP Lang, you are prepared for the SAT with an essay. In this case it’s your choice whether to take your SAT with the essay.
